Better College Newspaper Contest, 2006

The New Jersey Newspaper Foundation is proud to announce the winners of the 2006 Better College Newspaper Contest.

The winners were honored at the New Jersey Collegiate Press Association's Spring Conference on Thursday, March 29, 2007, at the Trenton Marriott Hotel. The judges' comments on the entries were distributed to the colleges at the conference.

The keynote speaker for the luncheon was Dr. Jane Oates, executive director of the New Jersey Commission on Higher Education.

Twenty-two colleges submitted a record 346 entries in January 2007. The contest was judged in February by active or former editors, writers and photographers from newspapers that are members of the New Jersey Press Association.

Our warmest congratulations to all of the winners! We thank all of those who entered the competition.

Students and faculty advisers are urged to notify NJNF of any misspellings of names. E-mail us at programs@njnf.org.
